Start Up

Winter 2016 season is only 1 week away! It might be a good time to just check in with your teams to ensure everyone is ready to go. It looks like we will have the same 8 teams returning (no new additions - so far anyway).

Since the school was so accommodating for us last season (giving us the alternate gym day when ours was busy & allowing us in at 7pm instead of 8pm for almost the whole season) I would really love it if we could make a slightly larger donation this season.

The cost will be $150.00 per team ($25 per person) - only $5 more per person. I think this is pretty fair/reasonable as it is still cheaper than pretty much any other league out there.

Please have payment (cash or cheque payable to Lindsay Watts) by the 2nd week at the absolute latest (January 14, 2016), and please make sure if you have any new members/subs joining that they sign the waiver form before they play. I know there was problems printing it off last time, so I always carry a couple spare if need be.

Winter 2016

We will be starting up again Thursday, January 7th,  2016, and will run to approximately the end of March 2016 (I will consider running coed 6s or R4s from April onwards).

My understanding is that all eight teams will be returning in January for womens 6s. I also plan on spreading the word a bit and therefore will take up to two more full teams (10 teams total). If I do get interest from two more teams this does mean that each week two teams will sit. I will do my best to keep the structure similar to this past season, i.e. two time slots (7-815 and 830-945), two games to 21 (hard cap), against two separate teams. I will also try to accommodate any requests for late/early times slots, and if we do get 9 or 10 teams, I will also do my best to try to let you sit if you know there is a week where you will be short players, but I cannot make any guarantees.

Cheers to a wondeful 2015 Fall season ladies!

I managed to get team photos of almost all teams (but I am realizing now that I dropped the ball and missed Eliminators, sorry gals! Ill make sure to get you next time).

I know it was a bit bumpy getting things up and running this season but we managed to pull through and make it turn into some pretty fun ball. I cannot thank you ladies enough for your patience with me in trying to take on the new role as organizer. I am so grateful for all your kind words as well! I got a lot of positive feedback these last two weeks and to be honest, it felt so rewarding to hear.

Week 6: WEDNESDAY November 18, 2015

Hey Ladies,
This week unfortunately we do not have the gym on Thursday (schedule conflict). The athletic coordinator however, is willing to give us the same time (7-945pm) on Wednesday instead.

Because of this I understand not all teams have all their players available. It sounds like 6 teams (Big Kahuna, Ball Busters, Sambuca-late, I'd Hit That, Eliminators, and Impact) are available to play.

In order to keep things fair, I will not be counting this weeks games toward wins/losses/total points.

Also, since we have a bit of a tough number of teams to deal with scheduling-wise, I was just going to make it kind of casual, i.e. all 6 teams can show up for 7pm. We will play short games to 21, and two teams will sit at a time, and everyone just rotate through.

Sorry about this adjustment, but at least this way we still get to play :)
